Tests of susceptibility to suggestion are the greatest method to verify if somebody is susceptible to suggestion. Majority of individuals who are susceptible to suggestions, can be also without difficulty hypnotized, but it isn't a fixed rule and there are exceptions to it. I would like to help you to establish level of susceptibility to suggestions, I will familiarize you with few of the most popular ways used for this reason.
* Test of tightened hand.
This is test of choice for many hypnotists, the cause behind popularity of this method is mostly, its simplicity. The person who is put to this test, is comfortably seated with his eyes closed. We start from commanding him to focus on the experience drawn from one of this hands. We suggest him to clentch his hand on the back of the chair and make him imagine his hand is jaws of a clamp. Then, we suggest he is not capable to open the jaws in spite of his efforts. After that we observe carefully, whether the test subject has troubles with opening his hand or not. The more the person clentchs his hand, the more susceptible to suggestions he is.

* Test of light hands.
During this test the person tested is at the door, the external partof his hands are locatedon the frame. He has closed eyes. We command him to push the frame of the door with his hands for about one minute. During that moment, we suggest that his hands are exceptionally light, so light they rise themselves up. Then we command him to do a step ahead and observe how high he will rise his hands. The higher his hands go the more susceptible to suggestion he is. This test has a major flaw, given that the rise of the hands, is caused in part by loosening pressure in subjects muscles. It also has one major advantage - it it builds up belief of hypnosis subject, as to the powers of the the hypnotist, before the hypnosis even begins.

* Test of falling coin.
We put a coin on test subjects stretchened hand and instruct him to close his eyes. We place a suggestion that his hand is beginning to gradually spin and the coin is falling off: "There is a coin laying on your hand. As long as you don't move your handthe coin lays on it. But unexpectedly your hand beginsto rotate and coin is beginning to slide by the side of your hand. Your hand is turning, and the coin is sliding from the left side of your hand. Do not let her fall ...". Say this text a number of times. If the subject of the test has the sense that the coin is falling off, he will counter by rotating his hand in other direction. If somebody is responsive to this test, it means he is very susceptible to suggestions. Less susceptible people don't respond to this test.

These are the most popular ways to test susceptibility to suggestions. However as I said before, being susceptible to suggestions doesn't incline susceptibility to hypnosis. Either way I wish you good luck with trying these tests on real people.
